Hola is on, but I still can't access the app I want

There are several reasons why you might have trouble connecting. This topic covers various troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue.


After each step, check if the issue still remains.


  • Try different server locations, certain locations might offer a more stable connection than others.

  • Restart your device (sometimes restarting your device will do the trick).

  • Uninstall the app, reboot your device, and install the app again.

  • Disable Low Power Mode:
    Settings > Battery > check if “Low Power mode” is turned on.

  • To determine if this problem occurs only on the current network, check if the same problem persists when connecting to other networks as well. This can easily be tested by switching from the Wi-Fi network to the Data network.

How to establish manual connection?

Here is how to do it:


  1. Open hola.org on your device’s web browser and login to your account.

  2. Install Hola profile

  3. Open the .mobileconfig file on your iOS device, and confirm the messages.

  4. Go to Settings → General → Profile and tap the profile you just downloaded.

  5. Tap the Install button in the upper right corner to start the installation (enter your iOS pin code if needed).

  6. In the next screen, confirm the installation with Install.

  7. Confirm the query with Install, and then enter your Perfect Privacy credentials.

  8. You can now configure the connection in the iOS settings under General → VPN. To establish the connection, enable the switch next to Status.
